Set in a world of magical warfare, the fires of war in the fantasy realm of Warhammer Online is fed by the disputes between different races. Each with their own strength and weakness, not one is necessarily a better faction than the other.
Story Plot
Generally, the story plot of Warhammer Online revolves around each faction seeking dominion over the other and always seeking to overthrow each other through the fires of war. Although the story plot is not really very clear considering that the game mainly focuses on the battles itself.
And although any player is free to choose which faction to take, it is generally understood that the Army of Destruction is the Antagonist of the story. And the one manipulating its deeds is the Witch King Malekith.
Moving onto the other side, the Army of Order is considered the protagonist in the story of Warhammer Online.
Characters/Players
The vast world of this Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game is populated by two warring factions, each divided into three race types. One faction, the Army of Order comprises of Dwarfs, the Empire, and Elves. And the other faction, the Army of Destruction composes of Greenskins, Chaos, and Dark Elves.
And within each race type, players can choose from a variety of career types, each with their own special features and characteristics crucial to the balance of power between the warring factions.
For example, the High Elves of the Army of Order are divided into four career composed of the Swordmasters, the Shadow Warriors, the White Lions, and the Archmages. And within the Order of Destruction, the race of Chaos has the Marauders, the Chosens, the Maguses, and the Zealots.
Game Modes
The gameplay usually revolves around the RvR or Realm versus Realm mode. In here, the battles are fought between race pairings. By order, the archenemies of Drawfs are the Greenskins. The High Elves fights against the Dark Elves, and similarly, the Empire race contends against the Chaos race.
However, it is also possible a player for one race type to enter the battle arena of other race pairings. This will be useful for players seeking to help their friends who belong to the other race group.
Additionally, the realm versus realm gameplay can be played in three different modes. These modes are Skirmishes, Battlefields, Scenarios, and Campaigns.
These unique features of the game really put Warhammer Online into a different league compared to other similarly themed games.
