How an Apothecary Can Aid Game Play

There are many uses for an apothecary in Warhammer Online and, surprisingly, there are players that are not completely aware of these many benefits. One reason for this is that most people will look towards an apothecary as a means of enhancing offensive weapons. Now, there is nothing wrong with this strategy at all. The opponents that you may face might be very combative and this will necessitate extra powerful weaponry in order to succeed in the game. However, as the old saying goes, a great offense is often a great defense. That is why it is critical to never overlook the benefits of using an apothecary potion as a means of boosting defensive capabilities.

One of the best ways to do this would be to use an apothecary potion to increase the strength of your armor. While armor is certainly helpful, it has its limitations. If armor was invulnerable, no war that was ever declared in the Middle Ages would have ended. In short, armor can provide a sense of protection but it cannot make a person indestructible.

Since armor will have difficulty dealing wih traditional weaponry, the inclusion of magical adversaries, monsters, and other fantastic entities, then the need for a little extra protection is critical. This is because avoiding injuries and damage will allow you to play the game in a more proactive manner. Specifically, when your armor is able to handle a great deal of damage, you can move forward in the face of aggression and threats. This is certainly more preferable than having to retreat or disengage all the time. Such strategies are often reactive and they do not allow characters to propel the game forward. Plus, it is not all that much fun to always be on the run. So, using an apothecary potion can help you stay more in control of your own game play.

On the flipside, however, it is important to not make your armor too strong. If you devise armor that is virtually invulnerable, then the mystery is taken out of the game. With no chance of losing, winning losing much of its appeal and each battle becomes pre-determined. So, do not make the power level of your armor so significant that you are invulnerable. That will make for truly dull game play and it is often not appreciated by the other participants. So, make your armor strong but avoid overdoing it. This is a good common sense approach to game play most will agree with.

Without a doubt, elves are among the most popular characters in fantasy literature. That is why it should come as no surprise that elves play a large role in the online version of Warhammer. What makes the inclusion of elves so special in this game is the fact that elves are elevated beyond a mere supporting character role. While such a limited role is commonplace in many other games, Warhammer Online greatly expands their role. So, if you step into the shoes of a High Elf character, you will discover a great many benefits to playing the role.

Unlike the traditional image of elves, High Elves maintain a much more powerful presence due to their fighting prowess and militaristic role. The fighting skills of High Elves is much different their human counterparts. Namely, elves are not large beings. As a result, they would be unable to wear heavy army or create a physically imposing armada. Instead, High Elves must travel lightly while using more cunning than would be needed by a character that gets by mostly on power and brawn. This opens the door to a great deal of unique game play since more strategy and cunning is involved. Yes, a different type of strategy must be employed when assuming the role of a High Elf. For some, this may be a challenge that can make for a very enjoyable gaming session.

Now, there is nothing wrong with playing a Conan-like character as such a brutish hero can always be a lot of fun. However, such heroes have a tendency to be one dimensional. They either use their sword or their fists to get out of a predicament. Once again, while this can be fun, it can also lead to predictable game play. Because High Elves do not rely on physical prowess, the characters need to develop other skills in order to succeed. These skills can include the ability to be stealthy and sneak up on their opponents. They could seek to learn magic in order to achieve their goals. Or, they could always sharpen up on their communicative skills in order to find their way out of a problematic scenario. Most gamers new to the realm of Warhammer may not be completely open to such an approach to the game. However, those that have been around a while may prefer to essay the role of a High Elf since it can be a unique departure from stereotypical hero roles.

And, really, how much fun would a game be if you played the same character all the time? Why not shake things up and try a radically different approach? This can ensure your game play is always a new and exciting experience no matter how long you have been playing.

The Benefits of Talisman Making in Warhammer Online

Is cheating at a game ever acceptable? When the structure of the game is designed in such a way that gaining an edge over opponents is allowed, then cheating is more than acceptable. It becomes critical for success which is the case with talisman making in Warhammer Online. In Warhammer Online, players are allowed to “cheat” by creating a talisman (or several talismen) to give a character an edge in game play.

Of course, talisman making is not really cheating because it is all part of the game. It is also a complex process to master. That’s why understanding the basic process of talisman making is important to success in the game.

The first step a player must take involves the collection of the fragments needed to create a talisman. These fragments must contain a magical element or else the talisman will not have any power. The best way to acquire these fragments is either through salvaging them or by purchasing them at an auction block. Afterwards, you will want to place the fragments into a reliable container which safely house them. (Yes, you will have to salvage or purchase a proper container as well) On a side note, it is possible to add non-magical elements to the magical fragments provided they help boost the potential power of the talisman. Gold dust, for example, can have the effect of significantly increasing the potency of a talisman.

Once you have added all the magical and magic boosting agents you have acquired into your container, you will need to engage the game’s fuse button. As the name implies, fusing will combine all the elements you have acquired and create the talisman. However, it is important to note that just because you have created a talisman does not mean it will be as effective as you wish. This is even doubly true if you are salvaging whatever elements you have come across in a random fashion. So, the talisman you have made may or may not possess the amount of power you need. Then again, it may even end up being so powerful that its use must be tempered with self-control. Either way, in order to effectively use the talisman, you will need to gauge its power before using it. This is where the bar comes into play.

Placing your container into the bar window will yield a gauge of the power of the talisman. It will tell you how weak or how strong the talisman is. Obviously, you can reduce or increase the power of you talisman by crafting it into the item you wish using the bar as a guide. Yes, it may take a while to craft the specific talisman you are in need of but that is the joy and fun of the game! If it were too easy, it certainly would not be a fun or engaging game to play. And Warhammer Online is a lot of fun and the ability to excel at the game through talisman making is one reason why
