How an Apothecary Can Aid Game Play

There are many uses for an apothecary in Warhammer Online and, surprisingly, there are players that are not completely aware of these many benefits. One reason for this is that most people will look towards an apothecary as a means of enhancing offensive weapons. Now, there is nothing wrong with this strategy at all. The opponents that you may face might be very combative and this will necessitate extra powerful weaponry in order to succeed in the game. However, as the old saying goes, a great offense is often a great defense. That is why it is critical to never overlook the benefits of using an apothecary potion as a means of boosting defensive capabilities.

One of the best ways to do this would be to use an apothecary potion to increase the strength of your armor. While armor is certainly helpful, it has its limitations. If armor was invulnerable, no war that was ever declared in the Middle Ages would have ended. In short, armor can provide a sense of protection but it cannot make a person indestructible.

Since armor will have difficulty dealing wih traditional weaponry, the inclusion of magical adversaries, monsters, and other fantastic entities, then the need for a little extra protection is critical. This is because avoiding injuries and damage will allow you to play the game in a more proactive manner. Specifically, when your armor is able to handle a great deal of damage, you can move forward in the face of aggression and threats. This is certainly more preferable than having to retreat or disengage all the time. Such strategies are often reactive and they do not allow characters to propel the game forward. Plus, it is not all that much fun to always be on the run. So, using an apothecary potion can help you stay more in control of your own game play.

On the flipside, however, it is important to not make your armor too strong. If you devise armor that is virtually invulnerable, then the mystery is taken out of the game. With no chance of losing, winning losing much of its appeal and each battle becomes pre-determined. So, do not make the power level of your armor so significant that you are invulnerable. That will make for truly dull game play and it is often not appreciated by the other participants. So, make your armor strong but avoid overdoing it. This is a good common sense approach to game play most will agree with.
